View Full Version : Have I given TuneRanger a fair shake?

Sep 6, 2008, 07:47 PM
I just purchased TuneRanger which the slick advertising promises will sync iTunes libraries on my desktop and laptop.

From my initial impression:

1. No product manual
2. Do downloadable manual
3. Online knowledgebase specific to TuneRanger seems to have only 5 support questions

I'm totally unimpressed and ready to get my money back.

This doesn't even address the questions that I have regarding the product appearing not to do anything other than spin through a lenghthy list of files that it will attempt to sync.

Is this a widely used program and are people using it successfully?

I want to make sure I'm not missing some area of the support site that maybe has resources I should/could be using.

Did discover just now that clicking the "?" in the lower right seems to bring up a product manual for TuneRanger.

I've been looking at this program or something similar.
Anyone have preferences ?

I went to the site to review their refund policy:

Smith Micro does not provide refunds for electronically downloaded products where there is a trial version available. Available trial versions can be found by going to our Downloads Page.

I am unable to follow their Downloads link to see if there is a free trial for TuneRanger (I'm guessing not).

And then further down on the page about requesting a refund is this:

All returns are subject to a processing fee of $9.95 regardless of the reason for return.
