iPod's HD?

Does anyone know what kind of Hard Drive is in the iPod?

Also, is it possible to swap out the iPod's Hard drive for something bigger but not ruin the iPod functionality in the process?

Oh yeah, has anyone tried this at all???

last i heard, they were 1.8" Toshiba ATAs, but i'm not sure that's the most current generation.

The iPod has a 1.8" Toshiba HD in it.

I don't think it easy to replace the HD, but it's probably possible. But remember that you can buy a complete new iPod for the same price as one of these drives sell for in retail.
