I'm looking to buy a firewire 800 drive. I want to hear from ppl that been using drives for a while. I heard LaCie drives suck from 3 ppl, saying they die within a year. I also heard firewire 800 has problems with 10.3? Any help would help a lot. Thanks guys.

Duff-Man says....10.3.x should be okay if you make sure you have the latest firmware installed. I have not personally heard anything like that about LaCie drives, but I would suggest you check out the drives from OtherWorld (http://www.macsales.com/) or Trans Intl (http://www.transintl.com/) (they are basically identical packages so just shop for price...both are quite reputable dealers)....I actually just ordered one today!..........oh yeah!
