3G battery

If I have my 3G enabled but I am not talking or browsing the web does it take more battery??
 
to save battery,

you should turn off

-3g
-gps
-brightness
-push/fetch
-ipod (carry a fm radio with you)
-oh wifi (go to an internet cafe or sumthing)

well, you know what...turn off the damn phone....

Or, put a charger by your bed, in your car, and at work. Plug-in whenever you're near one.

Seriously, that's 2 extra chargers to buy and you shouldn't have any trouble. People say "oh, that's hard." Ok, well I leave everything turned on all the time, ENJOY my phone, and never worry about battery. Who wouldn't want that?

(Yes, I follow these battery-saving rules when I'm going to be outside ALL day long, but that's, like, 1 day every 2 weeks. Why punish myself the rest of the time?)

Exactly. I keep a charger at my desk, and in my car. And the times when I can't charge, I'm usually not using my phone, so the charge actually lasts.

I feel the same way. Well said.
 
Well, if any of you might want to know why 3G is a battery killer, the reasons are simple. The 3G function does not really use much if there is no data transfer going on. Any of you notice when you turn on the 3G, the handphone signal will weaken quite much. That is the reason for the fast battery draining. Try it!🙂
