as this is my 3rd year at college, and I got a student card, am i able to receive discount on my iphone?

if your school offers it, you should be able to have it on there.

AFAIK, There are no discounts on the purchase of an iPhone, only FAN discounts on the service.

yeah, my college offer 10% discount card 🙂.
