View Full Version : POP-UPS on MacRumors???

Hi, can anyone tell me if they get pop-ups on MacRumors? I read the site every day and recently I've started to get pop-ups. I don't want to turn on pop-up blocker because I need pop-ups when I visit the Fed-Ex site and I always forget to turn pop-up blocking off and it messes up my shipping. Today I noticed the same pop-ups when I clicked on NBC's site but I was just at MacRumors. If MacRumors is not using pop-ups then some terrible pop-up software has infiltrated my Mac! Please tell me MacRumors is not using pop-ups? I would rather have to track down adware than live with these pop-ups.

We use an ad service, and pop-up ads sneak in now and then (example).

If we are given enough details about a particular ad, we can often have it removed from our ad rotation. See Why do I see a certain ad at MacRumors? in our FAQ.

I found out that I had the DNSChanger Trojan for Mac OS X!!! I used a free utility to check and clean:
