Well, iTunes 8 for my Vista x64 completely blue screen crashes my computer when I connect my first-gen iPhone with 1.1.4 firmware. I tried it twice with nothing else running except iTunes 8 and the instant I hooked up the iPhone, Windows blue screened and rebooted. Anyone else?

Edited to add:

Apple's discussion board is filled with Windows Vista users who get BSOD when connected iPod, iPhone or iTouch. The bug also affects both 32-bit and 64-bit of Vista so good idea to avoid iTunes 8 if you're using Vista and sync with an iPod/iPhone/iTouch. It's only a matter of time before iTunes for Vista gets pulled by Apple. This is a catastrophic bug that, based on crash reports, apparently has been traced back to the Apple USB device driver:

apple's windows software developing ability is downright disgusting.

Gizmodo said fresh install of iTunes 8 might NOT have this problem.
