iMovie '06 - Need help creating still frame with text

Please help me -- I'm about to lose my mind.

All I want to do is insert a couple of still frames into my video with a text overlay. I've discovered I can't do this satisfactorily with the Title feature because I have too much text. So I've made two graphic panels with the text already laid out ready to put in.

So what happens when I insert these into the movie? The program animates the frame by zooming in on the text (all 'arty' pop video director-like) and making it unreadable! WTF!?

I've no idea how to fix this. Hoping someone out there does. :confused:

It sounds like you have the Ken Burns effect option checked when you are adding the picture. Disable it and you should get just the still for as long as you need.
