Installer 4.0 question.

I just jailbroke my phone last night, and finally figured out how to use the installer 4.0 app. i added the source "iphone.handheld.com.vn/installer/" (HHVN-IPhone) and found a page of games. when i find a game i wish to download, i click install. but for some reason it finishes downloading, and disapears, or I get ERROR- Network has timed out-. I tried KoiPond, Bejeweled 2, labrynth, etc, but nothing works. What am I missing?

EDIT: By the way, I am using the IPhone 3G.

Make sure the apps you're attempting to install actually work under 2.0+ firmware...

you have the wrong version of installer or its permissions are set wrong

I would suggest cydia, its now better than installer IMO

rejailbreak and install cydia instead of installer
