it was very nice that the guy showed the 10.1.4 clip at the end... now I can really see the difference! And it's a big difference!

I'd be interested to know the specs of this guy's machine on the movie...
is it a G3 or G4? With that REALLY slow DVD minimizing in 10.1.4!
10.2 looks great to me!

I'm pretty sure it's running on a 2001 Quicksilver 867MHz with 640 MB RAM.
Someone posted it in the article discussions forum a week or so ago.

Pretty cool. Did anyone notice that guy's monitor power button was flashing? What's that all about?

I noticed that last week. I could not figure out what was up with that. I don't think that it is a fake at all, but what is up with the power button.

So you just posted them without looking at them because you 'heard' they were impressive? nice.......
Anyway, they were pretty good, bad camera work, but other than that, I can't wait to get the upgrade and put it on my machine.

Your welcome for hosting that clip. :D
In the previous thread the guy said that the blinking light on the monitor only shows on the video, not in real-life...weird...

Yea, that is weird. I don't know if I buy that or not. I video taped my iMac and it doesn't do that at all... Maybe we need to look at that tape a little more close that we have been.

That makes sence. If you've ever played with video before you see that sort of thing happen all the time. If the video camera is taking 30 fps and the light is cycling at 60 Hz, the frame rate and the light cycle will sync at times causing it to seem unlit. It can be very frustrating trying to prevent it from happening.
It also happens when you look at a monitor, you see that line going down the screen. That's the scan line from the electron gun at the back of the CRT.

yep, it was late and i was too tired to wait 2 hours to see it with my 56k... it sucks living too far out to even get cable tv...not to mention broadband internet connects

Well, also, the old B/W G3's, iMacs and PCI/AGP G4's had the old green power lights, and all the new ones have that weird new light (possibly neon? no clue). And I have noticed that those particular lights have a lot slower cycling than the old green ones, so maybe that really is it. Maybe it's just me, but I kinda liked the old green lights better...

I can't wait for Jaguar to be released. I hope it's release in July rather than September.
