I just recently got a new phone, and I'm regretting the fact that I didn't get the iPhone. If i go to the At&t store to get an iPhone 3g 8gb. will it still cost $200 or will it cost more?

You're looking at $199(iphone) + $175(to cancel the 2 year contract) + at least $140 for the first month billing + proratted + month billing in advance.

Well, I do have at&t currently so will I still have a deactivation fee? All that I want to do is switch my phone to an iPhone.

yes, your current ATT account will be switched to a 2 year contract which you will have to pay the $175 if you cancel.

This new phone you just got; was it "new" as in purchased from AT&T as a subsidized unit, or is it just "new" to you, purchased elsewhere? If you just got a subsidzed phone, I don't think you're "upgrade eligible" in AT&T's eyes (meaning you wouldn't qualify for the $199/$299 pricing).
An iPhone 3G without a contract could cost you around $750.00. That's how much I sold mine on ebay for :D

My situation is weird because I'm on my moms iPhone plan with 3 other people. We called at&t and they said that I would need to pay $30 more a month to get an iPhone. I'm just confused about how much the phone Will cost and if I need to pay a deactivation fee.
