weird problem, Carrier???

After i updated to 2.1 i opened "settings" and i had airplane mode, wi-fi and under that is said "carrier" i tapped on it and it brought up a list of different carries, it said at&t with a check mark next to it then it said verizon alltel and sprint, i went back to the home screen tried to do it again and it wasnt there, anyone else have this??

This happens from time to time when you are either going into/out of roaming, or your SIM is trying to register. However, I call shenigans with Verizon or Sprint being listed, as they don't operate a GSM network, except maybe some very old GSM experiments.
