How to do a genius playlist on a 3g iPhone?

I don't see an icon to push when I play a song.

When browsing by playlists there is a Genius option...

Also on the now playing screen, tap it once to bring up the controls, then in the center at the top there is the genius button.

You also need 2.1, but I am going to assume you already updated the firmware.

For some reason when I am listening to a song and i tap the screen, the shuffle and the repeat buttons come up, but no genius button. there is no genius button in my playlist section either =(

PS I do have 2.1

Try syncing a couple more times.

Not sure if you can, but turn Genius off into iTunes and on again - then resync. It might help.

You could call Apple in the morning, or you could just do a restore. This is really strange.

Same problem here. 2.1, Genius works fine in iTunes. No Genius button on the iPhone. I just turned off Genius in iTunes then back on, and am now resyncing my iPhone. :o

edit- resyncing did it. Genius icon is now on my iPhone :)
