2) It isn't out yet. 2.1 was just released today. While the iPhone Dev Team has been testing beta versions of 2.1 with Pwnage and their exploit it doesn't mean it's ready for consumption by the public. Give them time. They don't set deadlines as they do this as a hobby and their finished products are almost always top notch because they want to avoid as many end user problems as possible.
