View Full Version : Running multiplayer servers on MOH:AAS Demo for Mac OS X

Hi, recently I have tried hosting servers for the MOH:AAS demo on Mac OS X 10.2.8

For some reason, no matter if the `Use Gamespy` box is checked or unchecked, the game will not show up on Gamespy so no one is able to see it (however, they are able to connect directly via manually entering my IP).

I have tried hosting a server now on both the Demo version 1.0 (the copy it gives you if you download directly from the apple site) and 2.1.5 (the version available for download on versiontracker) and neither work.

I have also tried listing and unlisting the server on gamespy via the sv_gamespy 1-0 console command and it still yields no results.

When I tried hosting on a PC, it worked, so I thought it might be a bug from porting it to mac; but other people host demo servers on gamespy all the time, so I doubt this is the case.

Thanks in advance for any advice
morgan

(p.s. before anyone shouts at me about the full version only being $20 or whatever: I have the full version, but there is still a substantial player base that exists on the demo and it can be fun to play with them as well)
