Can i can unscrew imac 24 from its display?

Hi guys,

I will be travelling to a remote country for 9 months. I was planning of taking my iMac 24 with me. There is no way i am putting the Mac on the regular suitcase, I know how airlines treat suitcases.

Can i can unscrew the display from its aluminum stand? i can easily fit the iMac on my personal travel luggage.

interesting idea! but there isn't any screws on the back and unless you plan on taking the thing apart i don't see it happening.

Somebody else just told in another apple forum that it could be done

If the wall mount exist so there is an option to remove the stand. It seems that you have to remove the cover an use a T10 Torx Driver
