Is there any way I can use an iPhone 3G without activation w/ a data/voice plan? I don't have or need a cellphone and the iPhone 3G is less expensive than the iPod Touch. I just need WiFi and the other features of the Touch/iPhone.

umm its not less expensive at all. the iphone is only 'cheap' if you DO get a voice/data plan. look up what subsidy means.

You can activate the iPhone with tools such as WinPwn and Pwnage to allow you to use its features, but you may have a problem a getting an iPhone cheaper than a iPod Touch without signing a 2-year contract.

iphone 3g $199 + contract(monthly bills)
or
ipod touch $229

You dont need a phone, yet you are asking about getting the phone that is only $20 cheaper than the ipod touch. Im confused.

I'm just getting ready in case Steve decides to slash iPhone prices even further.
