Yesterday i went to the park and i found a 2g iPhone. I didnt know what to do because was a message about disable or something. I connected to the itunes and i reset the iphone and install the new version of 2.1, but when i check the sim car was a T mobile sim card and itunes is asking me for an T&T sim card to activad the phone.

I think the owner unlock the phone. I was trying to activade with my cuzin sim card but in the last step i need his ssn. I dont know what to do????? can i buy a at&t sim card and activade the phone that will work??? how can i use the iphone just like the itouch???? can i get in trouble?????:apple:

No iPhone user in this forum is going to help you use an iPhone you "just found".

Maybe you should have taken the iPhone to a Koban or the Apple Store to find its original owner. In the end, if nobody claimed it (likely because it was unlocked) apple could have reset it and given it to you. I believe that happened to somebody.

Why didn't you just see if you can find a contact on it and give them a call? Chances are someone will know whos phone it was. I have done this in the past, there was a phone found on a side walk. I called the contact "Mom" and sure enough they got their phone back.

i was trying to go into the contacts but it was a password on the screen... when i tried to find the password. i get the meesage of iphone is dissable

go to an at&t store and try to find the rightful owner

You should be spending your effort finding out who's phone it is rather than how you can use it.

huh? Can't you just restore the iPhone with iTunes and jailbreak it/unlock it again? After that just use any T-Mobile/ATT sim cards
