LCD Question (Mac VGA to PC VGA adapter?)

I am looking into purchasing a 17 inch LCD from Northgate Innovations. I talked to their customer service about if it's compatible with Macs and he said that you'll need a Mac VGA to PC VGA adapter.

Does anyone know if the G5 adapter will work with a PC VGA monitor?

And Also, where could I find one of these said adapters for cheap?
