Some Folders Just Won't Share

Hi,

I'm trying to share my pictures folder and, for the most part, it works fine, however, not all of the subfolders are shared. I've changed the permissions for the pictures folder and clicked "Apply to Enclosed Items", but it still doesn't help. Why is that?

Also, some folders (not necessarily the few that don't want to be shared) have a pencil with a slash icon. I don't know if that helps....
