I finally got around to trying to look at the movie I'd downloaded with Bittorrent - for research purposes. No, really. I *really* wouldn't go to see this commercial kids' flick in the cinema.

It's an .avi file, and took three days to download, but it doesn't seem to want to play on QuickTime.

Is it just a corrupt file, or should I be trying to play it on something else? The folder has three files in it: Filmname.(VideoCD).DivX.TS.DaDuck.avi, Filmname.(VideoCD).DivX.TS.DaDuck.NFO, and Filmname.(VideoCD).DivX.TS.DaDuck.SAMPLE.avi.

I have no idea what this is all about. Should I burn it to a DVD, or would that make any difference? Which of the files should I be trying to watch? Wha?

Download this and watch your movie (probably the biggest file)... :D

If it still not work, download the free DivX Codec.

VLC usually plays everything that Quicktime doesn't. Having DIVX on your computer is also a good idea, both for that and overall.

And as a last resort, I guess you could always try Windows Media Player...

....but remember, it wasn't my idea.
