New Headphones work with Old iPod Touch?

Hey guys, just wondering if the new headphones for the iPod Touch would work with the old iPod touch so I could use the mic and headphones for the old ones? Thanks!

Well, the headphones should work fine, but I don't think the original touch can use a mic, so that bit wouldn't help you at all. I could be wrong though! :D
