3G, New MBPro, and MobileMe

Ok, girlfriend just got a new mb pro and was setting up mobile me, the new laptop and started syncing the 3G to everything. Everything worked fine...until she looked at the phone and noticed everything was wiped clean. She just upgraded to 2.1 on her old laptop and did frequent backups on that. How can I restore to the latest backup on the old laptop? I've never had to restore or use a backup before. Is it as simple as selecting restore from backup?

yes. just restore from backup

When the iPhone shows up in the left bar, right click it's selection and click Restore from Backup or that equivalent. Then select your backup from that list.
