My G4 won't go to sleep.

I have a 1.25Ghz Powermac G4 running 10.3.2

I installed a 3 port Smartdisk Firewire PCI card, and found that after that my machine won't go into sleep - the monitor and hdds go off but the fan stays on and the light stays constant. Thinking it was a card problem I swapped it for a Swann 3 port card - same problem.

I have searched some forums but have found no fix - any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

Not to be flip or anything, but did you double check your pref's? I sometimes forget I set my energy saver to watch a DVD or something like that which makes it never sleep.

Otherwise, if you take the card(s) out, will it go back to sleep?

If I take out the card the machine will sleep straight away without a problem. It is a weird one!!
