Genius on ipod classic

Is it possible to get genius on the 160gb ipod classic?
Is it a simple software update?
Reason i ask is because i am purchasing a new ipod, and rather than buying the 120gb ipod classic available now, i want to purchase a 160gb from ebay.

no. And according to page 2 rumors the update will not come to older ipods.

No; Genius will not be issued for any of the older iPods, and it is not a software update on the iPods (it loaded on my iTunes, - I've since disabled it for other reasons - but does not show on iPods older than the current model).

I have a 160 too ,no genius.

However, to have 160 is big for me. I can live without genius.
