I updated to 10.5.5 today and now whenever I start sounds (for example when I send mail and it makes the outgoing mail sound) my speakers pop. When I start a song in iTunes it does the same, but if I pause for a moment and resume playback no pop/crackle.

This is a new issue for me starting today and was wondering if anyone else has had similar issues after 10.5.5 or if there is a known fix?

Reset the PRAM

My MBP is doing it too. It never has before the 10.5.5 upgrade. PRAM reset didn't fix it. Anymore suggestions?

Thanks

My new one does it too, but it seems to be getting better, or maybe i just dont notice it that much anymore
