Griffin Itrip Auto?

Can anyone with the Griffin Itrip Auto confirm whether or not it'll work and charge the 2g touch?

According to the apple online store the Griffin Itrip Autopilot is 2g compatible but I'm looking to get the regular Itrip Auto. ($80 difference)

I tried contacting Griffin but they never replied.

Griffin got back to me and said the itrip auto does not work with the touch 2g but that a redesigned itrip auto is coming out soon that will be able to.

Looks like 2G is Apple's attempt to make people buy new peripherals.
