With my numerous experiences with excessive and uncomfortable heat on my Macbook (2.0 GHz, GMA 950, September 2007), I decided to look around. I have used FanControl for quite a while, with the fans set to turn up at the slightest bit of heat, and yet it really doesn't work too well.
Anyway, I came across Coolbook. It's $10, and I'm willing to pay. Having searched the forums extensively, it seems to be quite popular on the MBA, because of core shutdowns; ect. However, very few seem to have tried it on the Macbook.
However, I would like to know if anyone has any experience with Coolbook specifically on the Macbook. Is it easy to set up and run? Does it work well? Are there any more specific instructions I can follow to set it up easily? I'm not extremely technical, but find it easy to follow instructions. I also feel a little nervous, because of the possibility of Kernel panics.
Thanks!
