...would I be able to use those install disks to upgrade my Tiger computer to Leopard? I have a 1.83 gHz C2D, 1 gig of ram, bought 2 or so years ago. The new macbook has a newer processor, etc. but are all leopard install disks for macbooks the same?

A family mmber just got a new MacBook, and it came with install disks for Leopard...

.... because 1) its not legal and 2) the install discs that come with the machine are made for that machine.
just go out and buy a copy of 10.5 for yourself.
