Green Light next to iSight stays on and never turns off!

Why is the green light next to the iSight on? im not using any programs that use the thing and the thing is on!! omg!! it wasnt on like this before
 
Create another user account with admin privileges, and check again. This will determine if it's software or hardware.

Otherwise its a defective camera board. Take it in to an Apple store.
 
i tried googling it but i found no useful information

EDIT: well i tried that removing battery method and it worked!

any idea on how or why this happnes?
 
actually i first thought it would be that? but i never downloaded any wierd programs or go on bad sites. maybe a lil torrenting but only trusted ones.

i was thinking, sum1 must be watching me so i stuck a post it note to block the camera cuz i was so paranoid. but really how does this happen?
 
My friend had the same problem when she bought her macbook, a quick reset of the pram should make it go away.
 
The Answer

all you have to do is:
1-turn off your computer
2- take off the battery
3- wait 5 seconds
4- put on the battery again
5- turn your computer on
6- VOILA!


tell me if this works cause I've heard it does and the problem doesn't happen again!😀
