just seems nowdays 2gb is standard in pc laptops,so wondered if the new macbooks would come with 2gb standard.

With the exception of the entry-level MacBook/iMac, the other models all ship standard with 2GB.

Apple always seems to leave the entry-level model of those two products stripped down, so I'm not sure if they'll get 2GB on the next refresh.

Who cares? RAM is $40 for 4gb after rebate nowdays. I'd rather have as little RAM as possible to keep the price lower so I can do it myself.

there will be no macbook, just a more powerful macbook Air and macbook pros..so,yeah, 2gb-soldered
oh,forgot the aggressive price part🙂

right, doesn't matter with 2gb or not, you can easily get 3rd party for much cheaper than apple ram

Wait for 3rd party parts?

Yes, this is definitely the way to go. But I wonder if it's a sure thing the RAM specs will be the same. If something new, wouldn't it take a while for 3rd party developers to whip up the modules and get them to the outlets?

And what about hard drive replacements? Might these need to be retooled?
