For some weird reasons, my iTunes 7 couldn't detect my iPod though it shows "Do not disconnect" on my iPod. Now I don't how to disconnect as I remember the last time when I forced to disconnect it, all my data was gone....

FYI, I just got my new iMac so everything is still in its default state... anyone experience enough to guide me?

Have you successfully hooked it up previously? If so, I would try rebooting the iPod by holding menu+center button. This worked for me.

No this is the first time I hook it on my new iMac....previously it was OK with my mac mini.....will reboot delete my data?

Thanks for your response....

Hmmm, it doesn't work..nothing happened...anyway, my ipod is still connecting to my iMac anyway......

@Aranince: Thanks, pal....I got it up and running and you are right, just press menu+center button.....

Appreciate it....once again thanks!
