to be the devil's advocate.. it is possible.. google mobile installation and play around with it.

And how could you even "play around with it" with out jailbreaking? You need SSH to install the custom mobileintallation file, create folders, and change directory/file permissions. All of this requires jailbreaking. If your not willing to risk jailbreaking, getting cracked/pirated games on your iPhone is way out of the question.
