How long does SMS take to open? (iPhone 1G)

I just got the iPhone only recently and have used 2.0.2 and just got 2.1. It's jailbroken and unlocked.

It takes about 9 seconds for me, and I only have like 10 messages... is this normal? It's annoying :(

I have a 1G as well, though, it is not jailbroken or unlocked.

Before, 2.1, it used to take a few seconds to load up, but now, it takes only a second. I had thousands of messages, though.

I suspect the jailbreaking/unlocking is causing your problem.

My Pwned 1G is running 2.0.2 and like Linuss' (although s/he is running 2.1) my SMS takes no more than 3 seconds max, in fact at the moment it seems to be opening instantaneously but it would be interesting to see how it would fair with 2.1.
