i need help [media player preferences]

a friend of mine just got a mac and is haveing major trouble with media files. she has wmp and real now. but she can't figure out how to change the media format preferances so the files play in one or the other. so basically how do i change the media formats(meaning setting all mpegs,avi and so on to play only in WMP) to wmp? oh and she has wmp 9 and we need step by step instructions

-open information on the desired media file. (apple-i)

-go to "Open with:"

-choose the desired app

-"Change All..."

this will make all media files with that particular extension to open with the app you specify.

she says she tries to double click win media player and it doesn't do anything

we need a little more details to help you out... what version of OS? where did she get the win media player? where is the application located at?
