What do you guys think of these deals:
http://www.amazon.com/Sandisk-Memory-Card-SDSDB-8192-Package/dp/B0018BOLIC/ref=cm_cmu_pg_t

http://www.amazon.com/Transcend-8GB-SDHC-CARD-Class/dp/B000P9ZBFA/ref=pd_cp_e_1?pf_rd_p=413863501&pf_rd_s=center-41&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B0018BOLIC&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0DRENVEETJ9KR5JXWB02

It seems to me like these are some pretty good deals. I might pick one or two up for my camera! :)

I wouldn't get the Sandisk one, it's too slow, only class 2.
(Speed performance rating: Class 2 (based on SD 2.00 Specification). The SD Speed Class Ratings specify a minimum sustained write speed for SDHC cards (Class 2: 2 MB/s; Class 4: 4 MB/s; Class 6: 6 MB/s).)

Transcend on the other hand is ok.

I have a Pentax K110D and a K100D that do my shooting but the K-M and K200D are looking pretty attractive right now and both take much larger pictures. ;)

The reason I asked is, with some newer cameras (like my D700), they can shoot at a fairly high frame rate with the right sort of CF or SD card - meaning UDMA capable cards. But those tend to be significantly pricier.

If you camera ca use SDHC cards go for it. But it thr camera is a few years old it may not be able to use them. My Nikon D50 was made before the SDHC cards came out and can only use plain old "SD".

They can't even use them with a firmware update? That's lame!

But if I got one it would mostly be for my next camera.

They both appear to be high capacity but not high speed. I'd spend the extra for the speed tbh.
