I really do. Its my third case from switcheasy. already own the black neo and arctic rebel which i love. But the colors is just so simple and easy to get on and feels great in the hand and adds little to no bulk at all. will definitely be buying at least 2 more colors.

it feels amazing. Not like your typical soft rubbery silicone this has a smoother feel to it which is slicker and attracts little no lint. It feels so great in the hand. I love my neo a ton but it's just different change of pace. The colors would be my everyday at home case and my neo and rebel I'd alternate between for when I go out and feel I need the extra protection. But for 15$ there's no reason why you shouldn't own a least 2 colors.

I concur. I have 4 different Colors right now and 3 more on the way. :) My Neo is sitting on the kitchen counter and I have no plans on using it anytime soon.

The Neo is bulkier, and it doesn't like to sit flat on it's back due to the raised Switcheasy logo. The Colors feels a lot better in my hand, and it doesn't slide around.

I have to agree.
The Colors are definitely my favorite case, although I only have the black Rebel from SwitchEasy as well. I kinda regretted getting the Rebel.
Like what OP said, it feels different from other silicon sleeve and soft. It's lint free and protects all around the bezel. Right now I only have the truffle, planning to get the stealth and another red one soon.
I'm no means affiliated with SwitchEasy whatsoever as this is really just my opinion.

I have two of these on order -- a Stealth and Turquoise -- and am delighted to read these comments. I like the feel of rubber but hate the lint factor so I am very much looking forward to getting these next week!

Here are the pictures as promised. sorry for the quality all i had was my imac isight to work with. Pictures probably dont do it justice, ive tried numerous cases and this simple silicone case is the best yet. I just placed an order for 2 more, Milk(white) and truffle(brown). Theres plenty of ppl with your same opinion of switcheasy and arent affiliated with them either, they are just such a great company with great products and pricing compared to whats out there. You walk into an apple store or att store and pick up a standard incipio or incase silicone case and it will run you 29-35$. At 15$ these are steals. Not to mention they include 2 screen guards,a microfiber cloth and a squegee as well as the included headphone jack and dock port covers. Im not associated with the company either, i just feel like such great service is worthy of praise and some publicity.

see now look at that.
style and protection all in one.
then if you wanted to, you
could change up the style with
a different color or case.
who the hell in their right mind would opt
for a Colorware $200 paintjob? and then
put a case over it -_-

to be honest with you I thought I wouldn't like the jelly bean either but once you feel how nice it is and the look it gives the case you will love it. Without it it's just another silicone case with better texture and feel. It really sets off the case with the contrasting colors. If you really don't like it you can easily cut it out with a blade or scalple. I looked inside to see how hard it would be and it seems fairly simple.

the screen protectors work fairly well just as good as your average screen protector and you get 2. The microfiber is also your run of the mill small grey cloth. It does it's job well and removes smudges. Hands down the best case out there.

USPS first class mail typically takes 2-10 days. I'm in West Texas and my first shipment took 9 days, my 2nd shipment took 4 days, and my 3rd shipment was shipped on the 17th and hasn't arrived yet.

They are pretty quick with their shipments. I live in florida and these are coming from san fran and all 4 cases ive ordered have come on the 4th business day. So if you ordered friday and it shipped that day you would receive it on wednesday since the usps makes its rounds on saturdays. i tend to order on saturdays and get them by thursday.

I'm wondering this too. I have a Capsule Rebel on now. Seems like good drop protection but i feel the case adds a bit too much bulk.
Does anyone here who has a Colors case also have a Rebel? Do you feel it's as protected from a drop and does it add as much bulk as the Rebel?
dannyar
Sep 22, 2008, 10:13 AM
it's quite a bit less bulkier than the rebel and offers great drop protection I believe. I dropped my colors from about 5 feet getting out of bed and not a single debt or scratch to my phone. It's a very sleek but durable type of silicone that feels well protected when in it.

How easy is this to take on and off? I've never used a cover for either of my iPhones since the first one came out, but I'm thinking about this one. The reason I ask is because I like using the dock on my desk. The case would be mainly for going out. Also, does this case cause scratches on the iPhone like some rubber sleeves?

I definitly would use this as an everyday case. The only reason I don't is because I like having different cases and alternate between my black capsule neo ,arctic capsule rebel and my 3 colors. I don't use the screen protectors because I already had bestskinsever.

This is probably the easiest case to take in and out that I've used. It causes no scratches whatsoever and you can easily toss it around and leave it on your desk without a worry. The main reason I live this case is the ease to snap it in and out for docking.

I guess you like pumpkins? Pumkin. I was wondering about the orange too. Out of all the colors, that was the one color i wanted. I got the milk instead. Well, it was between the milk and truffle. But orange would have been nice. If i like it, i'll want more. Hope they get the orange available to us soon.

Yes the orange thing. There are pics on the website that show the case in orange but it's not available. I ordered the Mican which turned out to be a school bus yellow. I didn't like it at first but its growing on me. The other colour that I got was Crimson which is a really lovely dark rich red.
Just an aside here, there's a company based in Toronto called stuffedbox and they're carrying the Switcheasy line. I received my Colors within 3 days. You might want to give them go.

IMO it works better with a full body skin. It makes the case more snug and holds the silicone in place and prevents it from flopping around. It does slide in and out of the pocket pretty easily as its not a very rubbery type of silicone.

I'm very interested in this case, too. I emailed the company early last week to inquire about local dealers and all I've gotten back is the auto-reply acknowledgment of my email.
Does anyone know of stores in the 925 area code that carry these or are they only available direct? I'd like to try one on my phone before I commit.

Here is my review of the SwitchEasy Colors case that I got a few days ago.
I received my SwitchEasy Colors case a few days, so I've had a bit of time to play around with, and see how it fares in day to day use.
It is extremely simple to put, just slide the bottom in first then roll the top corners in. Immediately it gives a nice snug fit. It gives full chrome, volume rocker and home button protection. Speaking of the home button, it is accessed by pressing a "jelly" like piece of plastic. I have found this to be OK most times, but sometimes I don't know if I'm pressing hard enough, because at times it's hard to tell if your pressing down the actual physical home button, or just the "jelly". The case also includes a dock protector, a headphone jack protector, 2 screen protectors and a little cloth.
The silicon that this case is made out of, is very nice. It has a nice soft feel to it, and comes in and out of your pocket relativly easy; with minimal lint attraction (although I think it's more noticeable with the black because you can see light colored lint much more on the dark). The back is completely smooth, no SwitchEasy logo's nothing, just a little cut-out for the camera lens. One little complaint about the silicon, is that the border along the screen flaps up quite easily, but I guess you can't expect flap-free from a soft silicon case like this.
Although the case is quite thin, it sometimes is difficult to access buttons on the screen that are at the very bottom, because the ridge is in the way. But it doesn't bother me too much. The power button and volume rocker piece are nice and thick, and give a nice tactile feel. The ringer/silent switch is slightly difficult to switch because it's very close to the silicone on both sides, but again, it's not that big of deal.
The screen protectors that come with it are actually quite decent. I would highly recommend to find a dust free (or as close as you can get) room, because during application, dust can come in contact with the protector and that's not good. I steamed up my bathroom a bit, which worked quite well, (if your wondering why steaming up your bathroom, it's because the dust particles will cling to the water molecules in the air, thus a dust free-er room).
So, in conclusion, I really think this is a great case, it has a great feel. It provides overall protection, and has a nice simplistic look. Plus it comes in an assortment of colors.
If you have any specific questions just ask, and here are some pictures:

I too was concerned about the jelly bean, but after seeing it in person and using it, it contrasts the case so well and really completes the overall look. It also feels very nice, not really like a jelly but yet a soft plastic. It makes the case stand out and without it would be just another colored silicone case. Give it a try you wont be dissapointed.

Got mine Stealth Colors yesterday. This is the 3rd case I've tried for my 3G. The first was a CaseMate Leather signature (too bulky), next a Black Neo (a touch to slippery, bottom of the I frame was a touch loose, but still the best hard case I've seen). I now have this one, and the Colors one is a keeper. Great fit, not too slippery or sticky, just right......

I received my case yesterday. It's everything I was looking for in a case. It fits over the Invisible Skin just fine and the jellybean button is a lot less obnoxious 'in person' than I thought it would be. For some reason, it looks much larger in the pictures.

I got the stealth (black with a red button).
I may modify it slightly. The edge around the screen is somewhat sharp and I keep snagging it. I might round it off a bit. If that works, I will also remove the flashing ridge that goes around the outer edge of the case as I'd prefer it to be smooth.

I won't own an iPhone until either 1) it's on Sprint's or maybe Verzon's network, or 2)AT&T starts providing insurance for the phone and a $100 everything plan that actually gives me 3G speeds where I live.
But once I say the Switch Easy cases, I wanted an iPhone just to own one of the cases.

As far as the insurance, state farm offers a personal insurance on iphones. You pay 35 a year and it covers everything from damage to theft or loss.

Has anyone test whether or not the Colors work with the Universal Dock Adapter and the Video Dock Stand that came with the Rebel or Neo?
Also, does the silicon gets dirty like the white Neo's I-Clip after a while?

If you apply a body skin it sits much more tight . If it's not a problem do u think you can provide me the transaction ID via pm if my review helped you make your decision. Much appreciated.
would like to but: bought from a reseller and don't even know what a transaction ID is.

As long as you have some sort of confirmation # from paypal or the site you ordered from. Also provide me the name of the site if it wasn't switcheasy.

the transaction ID is the number paypal gives you when you make payment. If you ordered from another vendor just provide me the sites name and the order#. Thanks again for all your help guys, I hope to keep the reviews coming.

Im not associated with the company either, i just feel like such great service is worthy of praise and some publicity.
no offense but that looks bad....looks rubbery and the red home button is really bad...just my opinion

Looking at that black one I already regret buying one, but I got it for like 13 shipped. I may cut that button cover off, it really makes these cases look clown like. It should arrive in a few days.

I received mine a couple days ago - not particularly happy with it. To me, it's a standard silicon case - I like the home button change, but it still fits too loose. I'll still keep it, I like it better than my Rebel which has a saggy bottom (idea behind hard+silicon is nice though) ... Cheap, it comes with nice static screen protectors and I'll probably use it if I need something like that - but the PixelSkin fits much better IMO.

I just got mine yesterday too. Chocolate (I think that's what the Brown is called). It looks and feels great, but am a bit dissapointed the sides aren't as tight a fit as I expected. The top and bottom are fine though.
I'm actually pretty happy about the button. This way when I pick it up, it's obvious which way is up/down. Before I often have to spin it around in my hands to get it orientated correctly. Obviously not a huge deal, but in my mind it's makes a difference and makes it a bit easier.

I have just encountered a strange issue. I just took my iPhone out of my Stealth Colors to give it a clean, and it has these scuff/smudge marks in top corners of the iPhone. Now I now for a fact that these were not here before I put it in, and I'm thinking that the case may have something to do with it.
The iPhone does have a clear plastic coating (the outer layer that you touch), and often when I put the iPhone in my pocket (with the case on) it doesn't go in smoothly and the case kind of slides up on the phone during the entry, then goes back into position once it's actually in the pocket.
So I think that the silicone of the case is waring on the outer coating.
I may be wrong,

I received my Colors yesterday. It took about 6 days from ordering from apsprostore.com to receive the goods (in am in UK so that’s pretty good). I got the Bleu and Mican and I love them. They remind me of toy phones. The texture feels like the surface of a peach.
Anyway what I want to share is how this case will work with the Video Dock Stand and the Universal Dock Adapter that came with the Switcheasy Rebel or Neo.
With the Video Dock Stand, there is no problem at all. If you look at the picture with the back of the phone on the stand you will notice the shape of the case doesn’t sink perfectly into the stand but this is not a problem as the stand supports the case perfectly well and very sturdy too.
With the Universal Dock Adapter, there is no problem inserting the phone+case into the Dock Adaptor but the jelly bean button gets in the way from pushing the phone completely in. This means you could get a bad adaptor connection if you insert it with a tilt too much to the left or right. When this happens you will see the message on the phone “This accessory is not made to work with iPhone” and ask if you want to turn on Airplane mode. You will just have to re-insert the phone straight and as far as you can until you get a good connection.
The other issue with the Dock Adaptor is the fact that the colors case is thinner then the Rebel/Neo so there is a gap between the back of the case and the Dock. This means there is little support on the back, and if you operate the iPhone whilst docked you could risk damaging the connector on both the dock and iPhone. To avoid that risk you could add padding in between the gap. I managed this by making a rubber strip using electrical tape. I start off stacking 6 layers of tapes on top of each other at approx 6cm long. From this, I cut two strips appox 0.5cm in width and stack one on top of the other. So I now got a strip with 12 layers of tape. Stick this strip in the Dock Adapter like in the picture and it seems to do the job.

I bought from SwitchEasy-europe (Germany) back in September and took only 3 days to deliver to UK with the 3 Euro postage fee. It is possible that the delay is due to stock availability, but I would advice you contact their sales.

Are there any good clips/holsters that work well with the colors? Think I saw someone mention the Seidio Case?
And can anyone compare Colors "feel" and protection ability to iskin's Solo?

I used mine for 5 months and still going strong. No sign of damage, and it's been dropped a few times so far. Really great, in terms of durability and overall clarity and quality.

I have this case in white and love it. I don't use it everyday. I'd say it has the best protection without too much bulk. The downside to it is that i think it covers too much of the screen. So i use it in situations where i want the most protection.

Got my blue Colors yesterday, installed one screen shield on my phone and another on my sisters.
(the screenshields are nice, not much of a difference compared to PS' crystal)
Anyways, this case is amazing good for 15 bucks! Total protection but also it doesn't give you that linty silicone feel, it feels closer to plastic, like a mix between plastic and silicone, it feel's great.
I think i'll be using this as long as i have my 3G (which might be a month longer if i upgrade to the new one :P)

1. Amazing. Never gets stuck.
2. Very minimal. About every night there is a tiny buildup of lint/dust that easily comes off.
3. After 5 months, it has started to wear just a tad bit. A few parts are a little curved, but it is still just as snug as before.

yup like vinay said about the lint, the back won't get much if any lint and the only lint i've seen is around the screen like by the bezel, which just with one wipe is gone.
Its definitely my best/favorite case (i have the neo, rebel, candyshell, etc etc (most of them were sent for review))

I ordered two Colors in the 'Milk' color and 'Crimson' (for my girlfriend) colors :) I can't wait to see how it feels/looks in person
As a person who owns the Celestial Capsule Rebel I was a bit disappointed because I didn't expect the Rebel's "silicone" to be basically cheap malleable plastic. I guess I was expecting a true silicone skin with the brace on top. :(
Most likely a new iPhone is coming out soon so I just decided to buy myself a cheaper $15 case until the next one comes out
Does the Milk Colors look weird on a black iPhone?
