This being my first Mac, i'm still not sure what software is the best for the task at hand. Right now i'm looking for a good lite image editor/browser. I've noticed that OS X doesn't even come with a program to convert raw imagine files (tiff's that i take from screengrabs) into jpegs.

On my PC I used Paint Shop Pro. It was quick and easy to use, had 90% of the power of photoshop but without the crazy price tag. It also had a great image browser built in. Can anyone recommend something like this for the Mac? I don't need photoshop (its big and bloated, takes a long time to load, and i don't need its 1001 features). I just need something that can convert image files, has basic image manipulation, and has a good image browser. Can anyone recommend anything similar? Thanks.

To convert images, use Preview.

But Graphic Converter is a good basic app for image editing. The Power line should come with it. But here's the link.
