Someone should develop a little stub mic for the iPod Touch. You know, something small enough to leave in place in the headphone jack. It would be similar in concept to this: Kensington Bluetooth USB Micro Adaptor

This would be amazing for recording voice notes or using midomi.

Anyone know any hardware developers?

As far as I know, a regular microphone will not work. The connector has to look like this one's:
