Hello,

Wondering if anyone has any experience with the eSata/Firewire version.

I understand that there are numerous people that complain/love Lacie/Western Digital and every other company; I really want to know about this drive.

Are there heat problems? noise problems? performance problems? With anything that is a storage device I am convinced that it is a matter of luck about getting one that works (as opposed to not working) out of the box...

Thanks

I like mine. The 2 fw400 ports are nice.

Haven't gotten the esata to work..but the esata MBP solutions seem to be sketchy in general. Stupid lack of updated drivers/leopard..

Two more questions:
1. Noise/heat - could you describe some of it...

2. eSata - what have you tried is there anything you think might work?

I just got this one, its decently quiet. Seems to spin up a lot. Design is great. Only use firewire.
