iPhone 2.1 "New Text Message" -- Anyway to change this back to the old way?

I am about to upgrade to the firmware 2.1, but reading on one of the undocumented features, when you receive a text message, you get:

"New Text Message"

instead of

"Name of person - Text that they sent"

on your lock screen. I think that it is a lot more convenient to have the old way, is there anyway to get the old text message received notification back?
 
Mine still shows the name of the person and a portion of the text (using 2.1). 😕

Don't get me wrong, I really like the name and just a portion of the text... Thanks
 
When you get the text it doesn't say "New Text Message" immediately. First it says the name and a portion of the message, but if you don't read the message, it will eventually just say "New Text Message" on the lock screen.
