View Full Version : Custom Alert Sounds

I made an aiff file from an mp3 that plays in quicktime and placed it in the /home/library/sounds folder. It shows up in the sound system prefs but when you click on it it only flashes white and makes no noise. The other sounds do work still. Any advice?

I tried this and it worked (in OS 10.3.2). However, when I set it's permissions so that no one could access it, my screen flashed white when I selected it. So I'm guessing there might be a permissions problem, check the permissions of the aiff file, also repair permissions in Disk Utility.
