movies and such...

Hi I was wondering, with the Ipod Touch, can you run Quicktime movies (.mov files) or iMovie files? Is there an application that can be downloaded to run this?

it can play .mov files. you can't play an iMovie project though. You would have to export the movie in iMovie as a .mov or other format to view it.

Sorry for being such a newbie, but the .mov files are they to be stored in the "movies" in iTunes and played on the ipod touch's "video"?

I had some .mov files but when I synced it to the ipod touch it says an error why it can't play...

You could have iTunes convert it to a file your iPod could play by right clicking on the file and selecting "Convert Selection For iPod". (Control and click on mac)
