haha, yeah i started using this new fangled internet thing about a year before i moved to the USA. I was online before that though, with the start of the Hotline servers, before it got ruined by the pc boys.
my mum had email years and years ago though, on her Mac + i think it was, when she worked at the Open University, they had one of them VAX servers waaaaaay back haha, oh those were the days, when everyone used to come into her office as she was the only one with the printer

Friggin fantastic!
I remember being on the Internet way back then. Netscape had just started to be popular - I'd been using Mosaic for a while before that on Sun workstations at school .... its amazing how much its a part of our lives today compared to back then.

I still have the JRC somewhere. Never could quite make that C4 though. ;)
It is a shame, these days, some stupid kid trying to make explosives is no longer seen as a moron, they are seen as a terrorist.
i remember emptying hundreds of black cats and funneling the powder into empty CO2 containers, fusing them, and blowing **it up. That was fun. Crazy I still have all my pieces huh?
Anyone ever soak a tennis ball in gas, light it, and play catch with it at night?
I am going to have little terrors for kids.

well, i know it was devised by the US government way back in the 60s right? but i guess the whole thing became known as "the internet" when the World Wide Web started to appear? and i'd roughly guess about 12 years ago for that?
