I don't know if this has ever been brought up before, but I was playing around with my .Mac HomePage during some down time, and decided to see how many people here have a .Mac HomePage.

If you have one, post the link here. Mine is in my sig. ( I just hope I don't get in trouble with Apple Computer for violating any copyright laws. ;) )

why would you be violating copyright laws?

mine's easy enough to figure out... :)

I basically hacked their default "HomePage Not Found" page and added the javascript to say everything it says. It doesn't affect anyone else's, but it has the copyright information at the bottom from Apple. I don't know what the legalities are, so if i ever get a letter from Apple Legal, that page is gone.

It was an interesting page, although it took quite some time to read it all.

My page is here (http://homepage.mac.com/resurgo/Menu2.html) it isn't much, I admit, but I have little knowledge of web design so I am limited with the simple layouts that Apple provides.

Oh right, clicking the "WWW" button underneath my posts brings you to my homepage, but only the photo pages were made with iPhoto. I wonder why they started being numbered at 5?

Here's mine (http://homepage.mac.com/ckwmoore). Nothing on it much, just a few snaps of the boys (I've got 5!) and chickens (6).

Yes, I love it! Bit of a shame I crashed (http://homepage.mac.com/edesignuk/PhotoAlbum8.html) it really   ...but it's all ok now, the pics with the bonnet stripes etc are from long after the accident, so it's all good :D

I love it: Marvin the manic-depressive web server, I think I'll add that to the page.

Thanks to everyone who commented on my little "toy". I was bored one day when there wasn't anything to do, so I went to .Mac to see what was new, and decided to do something with my HomePage. I really wasn't sure what to do, so I went to my address and I got the Not Found page. It hit me then that I need to do something to that page, and that's what I did.

And no, it really didn't take that long to type it, but it does take a while to read.

I also like looking at all the pictures on everyone sites. Seems that I'm actually communicating with real people now, instead of an anonymous user name in some far off place.

Keep posting your sites, I'll keep coming back as much as I can to see them all. (I just got a large project, so that'll be taking up a lot of my time for the next few weeks.)

So, thanks again for all the comments.

Ok, maybe the Marvin thing doesn't fit, but I added it anyway. I'll look at it later and see how well it flows, but it didn't seem right after I put it in, but then again, it might give it some personality.

Here (http://irmongoose.vze.com).

Looks like most people are using the .Mac templates. Anyone who's created his/her own?

How did you get your domain name to point to your .Mac page? I didn't think that that was possible. I haven't really used .Mac for anything other than my e-mail account and store some of my files that I need while on the road, but if I could point a domain to it, I'd sure use it a lot more. Now I wonder if they have virtual hosting? Hmm.... I'm going to have to look into it a little more.

The domain name I'm using is a free URL redirecting service. There are quite a few of those available. Just search Google for 'URL redirecting'. I use shortURL.com. They provide a variety of domains, and no ads!

Why do I do this? Because the 'shortURL' is easier to remember than homepage.mac.... whatever.

I use no-IP (http://www.no-ip.com). They also have a DNS service with a client so you can access you computer via counterfit.no-ip.info (mine btw, so you can't have it :p). I use ssh and other things from school.

I've used No-IP in the past. There are several services like that, but I believe that No-IP is the best of it's kind. Great for someone who want's to host their own site while using a dynamic IP address from their ISP, and the IP update client does a great job.

Counterfit, I tried going to your site - counterfit.no-ip.info - but couldn't pull up anything.

Easy to guess if you know my name :)

Unfortunately, I've been getting pissed at everything (except mail) that you can do with .mac lately (its so limited!!!!!!! grrr!!!), so its just something to tide me over until i convince my mom to pay for web hosting.
By the way, I'd be breaking laws more easily than rjrufo...if you see my homepage and you know what that program you can download does, you'll know why ;)

btw, the site is best viewed using Safari...I just opened it in IE 6 and it screwed up everything,
