Game progress not backed up in iTunes?

Alright, I reinstall Leopard on my system and backed up my itunes library. However I'm worried that my saved game progress will be erased once I sync my iPod to my computer. The iPod thinks its a new computer and wants to erase and sync. Will I lose my game progress? Or is that data backed up when I backed up my iTunes library?

Backed up as far as I know.
