help on where to buy ipod touch 1st gen

Should I purchase the refurb unit from Apple or get the new unit from Amazon? Price is not an object here. Just wonder if the refurb unit's battery life is as good as the new one. I've heard from many sources that Apple refurb units are like new. Please advise.

price is also a factor here too. you can save some money through amazon because it's tax free (usually) and free shipping (usually). plus it's new vs. refurb

Buy it new at Amazon. If you can get it new without paying a lot more, then why not?

Check your local Walmarts, in the one's around me they have the 1st gens on clearance.
