Any networking experts around? If so, can you offer some advice?...
I'm trying to get my Xbox onto the internet but stupidly signed-up with a dsl provider that supplied me with a USB modem. Hence I can't just plug an ethernet cable from the Xbox straight into the modem and go.
My question is, does anybody know if I can simply connect the xbox to my Imac (DV400 OS 9) so that I can use the internet connection?
I have an ethernet crossover cable and normal patch cable - do I need to spend more money on hubs and things?
Oh yeah, that may sound like I sort of know what I'm talking about, but I really don't have a clue about networking!
Any help would be greatly appreciated - I'm dying to get going on Rainbow 6 but can only play single player at the moment. BTW, I've tried just playing internet games on my Imac but Unreal Tournament is just sooo sloooow even with dsl and a great ping...
