Voice recording on 4G nano

Am I going crazy? I thought I remembered someone (Steve Jobs) demoing a voice recorder app on Sept 9 for the nano. It looked like it came with the software.

I just got a 4G nano and I can't find it. Am I going insane?

As far as I know, it's in the newest equivalent of the Extras menu.

I'm sorry but that sentence doesn't make any sense. Do you mean it pops up in the Extras menu when a mic is plugged in?

I've got a nano now running 1.0.2 - but no mic - and I can't find it anywhere.
