PC2700 DDR in Feb 2003 iMac (requires PC2100)

I have a Feb 2003 1Ghz 17" iMac. Apple states that this model requires PC2100 SO-DIMM for the User Slot.

I purchased that from OWC, but they sent me a PC2700 chip.

I installed it and the iMac booted and has been working fine (after just 1 day).

Is it OK to use this chip? Will any issues arise later? Or does the PC2700 just drop down in speed and everything is fine?

It will work just fine. The same thing happened to me. The seller told me it would be just fine. And it is. :)
